Foodventure
The Burger Shop 4059 Alder Ave, Fremont CA
I had been off of beef, chicken and pork for so long that I didn’t realize that I missed meat. Take it from an auntie, sometimes your body just decides that it doesn't want certain foods.
So when a friend decided to take me to this burger spot I was hesitant but also I needed to shake up the food situation. These were smash burgers which means they are smashed onto the griddle.
Don’t worry there’s no difference between how we make burgers at home and smash burgers. The difference is these burgers are made with halal meat.
I ordered the double burger with the bacon and Cajun fries to share. If you want to know more about this food adventure, I would recommend you watch Kay In The Bay’s review on IG.
We stopped at Firechikz, which was next to the food truck and had a living room set up for creme filled churros.

Pupusas on the side of the road in Fairfield
There was a handwritten sign on the side of the road that made me stop. It was small earnest and reminder that there are people who are just trying to make it. I watched the skill of the process filling with bean and cheese. Then I ordered six pupusas because I knew I would want them for breakfast.
They were made with love and cheese— the two things that are guaranteed to bring joy to the world.
Somewhere in the mountains sitting at a picnic table, Northern California
A simple meal of shrimp skewers, zucchini veggies blend and seasoned rice while staring at the mountains somewhere in Northern California. This was located at a farmers market community gathering. I think this was made better because I was eating it surrounded by mountains and got to enjoy it outdoors.
