A walk around the Lake Merritt at sunset on a crisp spring evening. My hoodie has given me the right amount of warmth to match the wind. The weather was in a tizzy. The sun was setting and I started thinking about why we don’t call them “evening constitutionals” anymore or only use the word “prom” but never “promenade”.

con·sti·tu·tion·al /ˌkänstəˈto͞oSH(ə)nəl/ adjective
relating to an established set of principles governing a state. "a constitutional amendment"
relating to someone's physical or mental condition. "a constitutional weakness"
noun DATED a walk, typically one taken regularly to maintain or restore good health. "she went out for a constitutional"
From my email
I get a bunch of emails from press people who are probably frustrated that I’m on their list and never attend their events or write any stories about their efforts. I’m not changing all that but I figured I’d let you, dear reader in on some of those tidbits of information that has come to my inbox. Also, I’m not editing any of this but copying some of the blurbs that come in.
