Chef Joseph Paire wants you to have a fresh perspective on brunch. For this foodventure a couple of us got the chance to visit Limewood for a preview of a potential menu item.
I originally called this a “Breakfast Charcuterie” but learned was corrected because “charcuterie” is a french word for “cold cuts”. So for now this thing of breakfast curiousness is a nameless shareable breakfast with a French toast covered in berries with scrambled eggs, fried chicken covered in toasted walnut syrup , and a cup of bacon. One of my dining companions called it “Wheel o’ Brunch.”
While the Wheel o brunch was a treat, there were four of us and we had to try something else while we had the chance.
Avocado toast with fermented fresno chilies and spot prawn salad with just enough dill to recognize it without being overpowering but was a nice balance with the shrimp
I’ve never had a bruleed grapefruit before this but now I’m wondering why are we eating grapefruit any other way?
While it’s called a Braised bacon on the menu what you’re really getting is a sandwich made of pork belly topped with pickled green tomato, butter Lettuce and crystal aioli with a side salad.
